My name is Liam Tyler. I really like graphics and C++ :) This blog is mostly going to be a collection of various graphics or coding things that I’ve found interesting, as well as learnings from working on my little hobby engine.
In terms of experience: I started doing graphics personally and in school in 2017. I finished my masters in computer science with a focus in graphics in 2020. After graduation I joined Sledgehammer Games as a rendering engineer, where I worked on the Call of Duty games for a few years. In 2023 I left to be a senior rendering engineer at Deviation Games, where I worked on an unnanounced UE5 game. I did that for about a year, until Deviation Games closed down entirely in 2024. I took the summer of 2024 to focus on my health and some other life goals I had (which was awesome!) but now I’m back.
